Malcolm Craven

Malcolm has been involved with organising and running music events since 1990. For 19 years he managed music classes for adults in Manchester for NEARIS.
Born in Scotswood, Newcastle, Malcolm returned home in 2004 to pursue his interests in piping.
In addition to Northumbrians And Pipers he is a support worker with Streetwise Choir, who meet every Tuesday afternoon at the Sage.

Susan Craven

Susan has organised and run pipe days since 2002, and the successful week long Northumbria Pipe course since 2008. She is a professional musician playing Pipes and Clarinet in the Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Born in Newcastle, Susan returned home to pursue her many interests in piping. She has been teaching beginners for more than eight years and is responsible for running the Northumbrian Pipers’ Society playing group ‘Pipers Fancy’, and the Longframlington Pipe Group.
